Chapter 1
Natalia:
“Mum, you do realize that I am marrying a man over a contract?” I asked looking at my mum who just handed me the paper which had arrived the man’s lawyer. The idiot hadn’t even bothered showing up to sign it along my side.
“Natalia, it’s not like you wanted a wedding to begin with”
“I can’t even have one, mum”
“Then I don’t see what the issue is, Natalia…”
“Mum, the man is a billionaire, don’t you find it a bit odd that he wouldn’t want an extravagant wedding where paparazzi would be swarming the place?” I raised my hand in confusion. Mum shrugged and I sighed pinching the bridge of my nose. I looked at the paper which has been on my dresser for the past twenty minutes as I debated whether or not to sign it. There was no backing out now, I knew that for fact.
“Natalia, the man is the best that you would be able to find. You saw his picture…”
“That is all I saw of him; I know nothing about him. Who he is, what he is like, how he’s like…” I said looking at mum who took a deep breath trying to calm herself down. The man’s mum had called mum and had organized this whole thing, and next thing I knew it. I was getting married whether or not I liked it.
“Natalia, there is no getting out of this now…”
“Mum, I never wanted to do this, you and I both know that I had my own ambitions…”
“But your father no longer wants to take your burden” mum said looking me in the eye “he has your younger siblings to care for too, he can’t keep handling you and your expenses, not to mention your power”
“Mum, me being an element manipulator has done nothing to harm any of you. You treating me as someone who you’ll need to hide…”
“Are you not?” Mum asked stopping me “we cannot hold gatherings with you in the house in fear that any monster would detect your presence, not to mention the fact that we are getting tired of…”
“I will sign the bloody damn paper” I said stopping mum before she said any harsher words. The fact that they were blaming me for being born the way that I was hurt me a lot more than I could admit. Having reached to point where dad would hit me if I lost control over my power for holding it for too long, and I still do believe that he sent a few monsters after me on purpose as to get rid of me.
I glared at the paper that was on the dresser before signing it without bothering to read it for the third time, not that I needed to anyway. I was headed with the lawyer to whatever hellhole he was taking me to, as far as I was concerned it as where my ‘husband’ lived.
I looked at mum who smiled at me and nodded.
“Well then, let’s get you ready, shall we?”

Me getting ready didn’t take long as I was basically wearing a normal white knee long dress and flat shoes.
Some bride if you asked me.
Yes, it was true that I never intended to hold a wedding since I couldn’t have one to begin with, but I never expected marrying a man over a paper, nor did I expect going to his house wearing a normal dress without even meeting him once.
I entered the mansion with the lawyer walking in front of me. My eyes looking at a picture of a woman, she was beautiful, a bright smile on her face, her eyes shining with happiness.
“Who is she?” I asked smiling. My curiousity beat me to it, but the woman seemed lovely, and to have her picture on the wall the way it was in front of the entrance door, it meant that she was someone who was important. The lawyer froze for a second, looking at the portrait picture before his eyes hardened when he looked at me.
“Our Luna” was his simple answer before he walked deeper inside the house with me following close behind as not to get lost. It didn’t seem like anyone was coming to greet us anyway, and for that, I didn’t bother waiting.
“Alpha” I heard the lawyer say before he nodded at me. My eyes coming in contact with the most gorgeous emerald green eyes I’ve ever laid my eyes on. The man wasn’t wearing a shirt, most of the men who were inside the house weren’t. However, his eyes hardened when they met my blue ones and I tensed fearing his reaction. His charisma could be felt in the room as everyone tensed when his eyes met mine.
I couldn’t help but stare at his toned abs and arms. The man was a sight for the sore eye, it was something that I had to admit.
He nodded dismissing the people who were by his side before looking at me. His eyes looking me up and down making me feel somewhat uncomfortable.
“Welcome, Mrs. Knight”
“You do realize that I have a name” I stated crossing my arms over my chest.
“And if you haven’t noticed yet, I don’t really care”
He waited for me to respond, however, I simply nodded as I waited for him to continue “I’m Blake, I believe that you have already met Mason”
“Your lawyer” I said stopping him.
“He is my best mate, not my lawyer. My lawyer wouldn’t be going to bring my ‘wife’ over” he rolled his eyes and I nodded taking a deep breath “the maids would be showing you to your room, I don’t believe that you expected the two of us to share a room let alone a bed”
“Need I ask why you brought me here to begin with? As it seems like you’re not even interested in getting married, you didn’t have the audacity to come and pick me up yourself. Why’d you go through the fuss of it?” I asked calmly.
“Believe it or not, I do not want to have you as my wife, however, our marriage ties up a few loose ends in a few partnerships that I have with your father…”
“Therefore, our marriage is nothing but a business deal”
“More or less” he said keeping his eyes on mine. His body towered mine as he approached me and it took everything in me not to use wind to my advantage to push him away from me. His strong cologne hitting my nostrils almost instantly.
“Alpha” a shirtless man said walking inside the room. His eyes looked down at his feet as he avoided looking at Blake.
“What is it, Ryan?”

Chapter 2
Blake:
“Alpha” my second beta, Ryan, said avoiding my eyes. He could already feel my anger, and I had a feeling that whatever he was going to say wasn’t going to make things any lighter.
“What is it, Ryan?”
“We have a little problem” I nodded dismissing him and looked at the woman who stood in front of me. My wife…
Her brown hair was neatly curled, though remembering the picture mum had showed me; I was already aware that her hair was naturally curly. I pulled my phone out my pocket and called the maid to come over. I had already assigned the maids that were to be at her service.
“Alpha”
“Jodie, this is my wife, you and the girls would be tending to her needs. For now, I believe that she would want to go and rest, her trip had been a long one” I said walking past the women out to the front porch where I could hear my pack members. The smell of a foreign wolf made my own wolf stir, and a growl escaped my chest before I could control it.
“What is it?” I asked walking out of the house to find the man held down by both Ryan and Mason. Their eyes glaring daggers at the naked man who must have shifted back to human, his eyes widened in fear as he attempted escaping my betas’ tight grasp.
“He’s a rogue who was roaming the territory” Mason said looking at him “We tried getting him out with no blood, but he had other plans”
I nodded at them to let him go and he shifted as soon as their grips loosened around him wanting to pounce on me. I raised an eyebrow and shifted standing in front of him, my black wolf towering his grey one, a scream of fear distracted me, and taking it to his advantage, the wolf tried grabbing me by my neck. However, I was surprised when he froze midair.
The whole front yard seemed to have wind picking up around it, to begin with making my wolf turn to face the woman who I had married to find that her eyes were focused on the rogue before she set him down. The wolf whimpered before attempting to run away in fear, however, I ran toward him and grabbed him by his neck before he could. His body forced him to shift back to human before he took his last breath, I could hear Jodie trying to pull Natalia inside.
It was seconds later before his last breath left his body and I turned to find Jodie, and Ryan holding Natalia back. Her eyes were fixed on the now dead man who lay beside me “you…”
I shifted back to human, my body as naked as day, and raised an eyebrow at her “me?”
“You killed the man!”
“He was in my territory, and it was either him or me”
“You aren’t human”
“It seems like neither are you” I said raising an eyebrow at her. Her eyes widened at my realization before she shook her head “what are you?”
“I need to be asking the same question”
“I don’t questioned, love” I said winking at her.
“You are a bloody werewolf, you brought me here as your wife believing that YOU were human!” She snapped. I raised an eyebrow at her before walking toward her and grabbing her by her neck, pinning her to the wall beside the door behind her. Her eyes widened at my tight grip before I was pushed away from her at a force that had my back hit the grass floor.
I shifted faster than she could process and went to attack her, however, she cracked the ground under my paws creating an minor Earthquake.
“WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?” Mum’s voice boomed in the yard. Her eyes widened at the sight before her before she stood in front of Natalia, raising her hand to her to stop whatever she was doing.
“Blake, shift” dad said looking me in the eye. I growled at him, but he growled back letting me know that he was not kidding. He may have been alive and with his Luna, mum, he had let the position of Alpha go the second I turned eighteen.
I shifted back to human, standing nude in front of him making him roll his eyes and throw me a pair of shorts. Where he had gotten them and why was beyond me, but I didn’t care to ask right now.
“You brought me to marry a monster?” Natalia asked mum who pinched the bridge of her nose.
“I could say the same thing about you, though how I haven’t caught your scent makes this seem a whole lot fishier, witch…”
“I am not a witch” she snapped glaring at me.
“Then?”
“Get to know your creatures, mutt” she snapped. I growled exposing my canines.
“ENOUGH! BOTH OF YOU!” Mum yelled at the two of us.
“Your parents weren’t as honest either, Natalia” dad said looking at Natalia who looked away avoiding his eyes “what are you?”
“An element manipulator” she said looking at dad. He raised an eyebrow at her and shook his head not believing her.
“An element manipulator has her mark…” Natalia raised her hair and unzipped the back of her dress exposing her mark, or should I say marks. The woman had all four element symbols burned on her skin.
“Proof enough?” she said calmly. Her dress’s zipper went up on its own closing the dress before she put her hair down to look at us “why did you choose me as your wife, wolf?”
“Alpha” I corrected glaring at her.
“You are THEIR Alpha, not mine” she said crossing her arms over her chest “shouldn’t you have your mate, or Luna…”
My chest clenched at her words, and the whimper that my wolf let out told me that I should be getting out of here. I took a step back from mum’s grip and walked into the house past her. My eyes looking at my mate’s portrait for a second before going up the stairs to my room. She was right to question, I was supposed to be with my Luna, but that would require her to be alive for that to happen.
I opened my veranda and walked out for some fresh air before I heard the bedroom door open. Mum’s scent filled the room, and it was seconds later when her arms wrapped around me from the back as she kissed between my shoulder blades “I told you that it was a bad idea…”
“You didn’t even give the woman a chance” mum said softly. I turned around to face her, my eyes meeting hers as I ached for her feeling this helpless toward me. I cupped her cheeks and kissed her forehead before looking her in the eye.
“I have said it once, mum, and I will say it again. Me and that woman will NEVER have anything to do with one another” I said making her silver eyes widen “the faster everyone gets that through their minds, the better”

Chapter 3
Natalia:
I paced around the yard as I processed of what I had seen.
I just married a monster.
Not that I was human, but I didn’t go around killing other people so casually.
“Natalia, you pacing around this much would only make you dizzy”
“The man just killed another…”
“He was a rogue invading his territory, this is only natural” Blake’s dad said so casually, stopping me from finishing my sentence.
“How is it that you find this so casual? Your son just killed a man”
“I would have done the same thing, Natalia, this is a nature’s instinct of every wolf. The faster you get used to it, the better” he said before walking inside. I sighed and looked at the ground which I had cracked under Blake earlier and flicked my hand mending the cracks. The other members of this house looked at me curiously as I walked inside following Jodie who was waiting for me by the door.
My eyes caught the portrait and I felt like my whole world shattered in front of me when I realized that the beautiful woman was Blake’s mate. Having her in his life, I didn’t understand why he would want me as his wife, nor did I understand how she could accept such a thing to begin with.
I walked inside the room which Jodie guided me to “your things would be set in the closet tomorrow morning, if you wish to fix them yourself…”
“Thank you, Jodie” I said stopping her. The distaste in her tone told me that she didn’t want to be here, and judging by the circumstance, I believed that no one would want me in this house anyway.
“Dinner is in an hour, I will come to guide you to the dining room”
I nodded and watched as she walked out of the room leaving me alone to think. How could have my parents done this to me? The fact that none of them bothered question why the man didn’t want a wedding, or why he never bothered show up on his own hurt me enough, but this…
I didn’t even know what to say of the situation that I was in now.
Why?
Just why?

I walked into the dining room without saying a word, Jodie came up to me just as I was getting dressed an hour later as she had mentioned. My body tensed as I noticed that all eyes were on me, and I smiled at Rosalyn, Blake’s mum who called me to sit by her side.
“Who allowed you to join my dining table?” Blake’s voice suddenly stopped me making me frown in confusion. Everyone in the room tensed as he spoke and both Rosalyn, and Daniel, his dad, frowned in confusion at his words.
“I beg your pardon?”
“I don’t believe that I allowed you to join me on my table, or to be in my presence”
His words cut through me like a dagger, and I found myself shying back as everyone looked at me. This time not with the same disgust or distaste, but with pity.
“Blake…”
“If you wish to eat, the kitchen’s doors are always open, you can even dine in the living room. But should I be seated on this dining table, I do not wish to see your sight on it” Blake said looking up from the glass of water he was holding. I nodded at him giving him a sarcastic smile before turning around to walk the way I had come.
“Miss Natalia…”
“I don’t wish to be disturbed, Jodie” I said entering my room. A sob broke from my lips the second I closed the door and I found myself sliding against it as embarrassment filled me. The fact that he had said it in front of everyone in the house so casually played in my mind, the maids who were standing, his family members…
I have never been this humiliated or embarrassed in my life.
“Miss Natalia” Jodie’s voice came from behind the door as she knocked it twice.
I forced myself to stop crying and to control my tone. Despite knowing that they could hear my sob, I didn’t want to give them the advantage of seeing it.
“Yes, Jodie?” I said from behind the door.
“Mrs. Rosalyn has asked that we bring you something to eat, do you want anything in specific?”
“No, thank you, and I’m not hungry” I said calmly “you can assure Rosalyn that I am fine”
I didn’t bother opening the door as I spoke. I walked to the bathroom and washed my face before looking at my reflection in the mirror, the feeling of me being sorry for myself filled me, and it was something that I hated. Especially since I grew up learning how to keep my head high despite everything that I might go through.
I shook my head at myself for my attitude before walking back inside the room and locking the bedroom door, I knew that they would be knocking to come in eventually, if not tonight, tomorrow morning. But they could rot in hell if they believed that they could shatter down my pride and dignity.

I woke up early morning being surrounded by my clothes.
I had dozed off on the floor beside them as I was clearing out my backs.
My back ached from the hard floor, but at this point, I truly couldn’t care less. Everything that had happened last night was still fresh in my mind, drilled to it if I may add.
The embarrassment that I felt wasn’t something that I could easily accept, nor was it something that I was going to let slide. But for now, I was to remain as quiet as a hunting cat. The idiot was going to learn how to respect me one way, or the other, and I didn’t care whether it affected the deal he had with my father.

Blake:
“What the hell was that?” Dad asked the second everyone left the dining table.
I simply raised an eyebrow as an answer before getting up and walking out of the room, heading to my bedroom which just happened to be next to my wife’s. Mum’s orders, not mine.
“Blake Knight…”
“I am the Alpha of this pack, and unless the woman learns to respect me…”
“She just got here” mum snapped and I gave her a smile.
“Then she would learn not to cross her limits” I said calmly “she dared cross her limits on me, my mate…”
“Your mate is dead, Blake, get that drilled…”
I growled stopping mum from what she was about to say, and noticing the sensitivity of the topic, dad pulled her back behind him “you two are the only elders allowed in this mansion, you know that the others have their own villas in the compound. However, if you two keep interfering in my decisions and life…”
“Is that a threat?” Dad asked.
“Take it as a warning, a pack can only have one Alpha, and you yourself chose to resign your position” I said glaring at dad before walking inside my room and sitting on my bed. My chest ached as I processed everything that has happened throughout the day.

Forcing myself to lay down, I knew that I needed to get some sleep if I was to be able to do anything progressive tomorrow. Work had been delayed somehow due to everything that happened, things that I needed to do this evening were postponed until tomorrow morning after getting into as many arguments.
My bedroom door was knocked and I sighed before standing up to open the door, smirking when I caught sight of Sasha who was looking at me with hungry eyes “I heard that you were angry, and thought maybe, just maybe, you could use a hand, mouth, or even something a little deeper?”
I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her inside before she could say another word, pinning her to the wall. She bit her bottom lip as she noticed the lust in my eyes, our breaths mixing for a second.
“You came at the exact right time”

I woke up to Sasha running her finger over my toned stomach. Her eyes were fixed on my chest as she lay nude against me. The two of us having slept late last night, she had passed out after her fourth orgasm. I was surprised to see her awake before me, but then again, she did sleep a while before I did.
“Good morning” she said smiling.
“Good morning, love” I said softly. I tightened my arms around her before cupping her cheeks and connecting our lips together “thank you for last night”

I wasn’t as stupid as to fall for her sweet talk, but I wasn’t going to waste someone who I knew was willing to please me when she knew that her own mate had rejected her. “I know” was my simple answer before I untangled myself from her and got out of bed. Covering my lower half with a blanket, I earned myself an eyebrow from Sasha.
“You do realize that you were buried deep inside me last night, right?” Sasha asked.
“I do, but I would be jumping you here and now if I walk naked in front of you, and judging by you passing out…” I raised an amused eyebrow at her before walking into the bathroom to freshen up. Hearing the bedroom door unlock as Sasha walked out of the bedroom a while later.
It was a silent agreement between the two of us, at least from my side, I wanted no attachment. Though I knew her own reasons of wanting to be around me, one which mainly included power, the second was revenge. She wanted to prove to her mate that she could find someone better than he was, and in all reality, even I wasn’t as stupid as to want to get myself into such arguments. The woman had brought it in on herself to be rejected, but she wouldn’t understand if anyone tried to explain, and I personally didn’t care about doing so, she did her job in satisfying, and in return, she too was satisfied.
I quickly showered and got ready for work. My eyes catching sight of Natalia’s room which was still closed, I could hear her heartbeat inside the room, and smell her scent. These two facts indicated that she was either asleep, or just didn’t want to walk out of the room. Both options didn’t matter to me anymore than she did.
I walked down the stairs to find mum and dad sitting in the living room, neither one of them was in the dining room for breakfast “don’t wait for me, I’m headed to work”
“We need to talk, Blake” mum said making me stop my tracks.
“What did I do this time?” I asked sarcastically.
“You didn’t do anything out of the ordinary, but your father and I believe that it would be best for us to go and live in one of the villas. As our Alpha, it is customary for us to ask for your permission…”
“Permission granted, choose whichever one you like, and I’ll be sure it is set for you in a short period of time” I said stopping mum from finishing her sentence.
“When have you become this heartless, Blake?” Dad asked me frowning in confusion.
“The second all of you, no exception, chose that it would be fit for me to ignore my love for my mate, dead or alive. Set me to marry a woman that I didn’t know, a woman who is human, or in her case, an element manipulator, funny part is, you both see yourselves as correct and I as the bloody monster” I said glaring at them both “I am no longer a child, and I have work, therefore, please do find someone else to waste your energy on”
“You are crossing your limit”
“I have said nothing but the truth, if that is considered as crossing limits; then I apologize” with that said, I turned to the door and walked out of the house before any of them could respond.
My driver who was waiting for me by the door nodded and opened the car’s door for me, waiting for me to enter the car before closing the door. His eyes met mine through the rear mirror once he buckled himself in.

Her eyes widened at the sight before her before she stood in front of Natalia, raising her hand to her to stop whatever she was doing.\n“Blake, shift” dad said looking me in the eye. I growled at him, but he growled back letting me know that he was not kidding. He may have been alive and with his Luna, mum, he had let the position of Alpha go the second I turned eighteen.\nI shifted back to human, standing nude in front of him making him roll his eyes and throw me a pair of shorts. Covering my lower half with a blanket, I earned myself an eyebrow from Sasha.\n“You do realize that you were buried deep inside me last night, right?” Sasha asked.\n“I do, but I would be jumping you here and now if I walk naked in front of you, and judging by you passing out…” I raised an amused eyebrow at her before walking into the bathroom to freshen up. Hearing the bedroom door unlock as Sasha walked out of the bedroom a while later.\nIt was a silent agreement between the two of us, at least from my side, I wanted no attachment. Though I knew her own reasons of wanting to be around me, one which mainly included power, the second was revenge. She wanted to prove to her mate that she could find someone better than he was, and in all reality, even I wasn’t as stupid as to want to get myself into such arguments. The woman had brought it in on herself to be rejected, but she wouldn’t understand if anyone tried to explain, and I personally didn’t care about doing so, she did her job in satisfying, and in return, she too was satisfied.\nI quickly showered and got ready for work. My eyes catching sight of Natalia’s room which was still closed, I could hear her heartbeat inside the room, and smell her scent. These two facts indicated that she was either asleep, or just didn’t want to walk out of the room. Both options didn’t matter to me anymore than she did.\nI walked down the stairs to find mum and dad sitting in the living room, neither one of them was in the dining room for breakfast “don’t wait for me, I’m headed to work”\n“We need to talk, Blake” mum said making me stop my tracks.\n“What did I do this time?” I asked sarcastically.\n“You didn’t do anything out of the ordinary, but your father and I believe that it would be best for us to go and live in one of the villas.
